Why a clean main channel list matters

Most IPTV services that are not built for Britain bury the UK channels among thousands of foreign ones, with names like “UK: BBC 1 FHD (backup 3)” and no guide data. British IPTV does the opposite. Your IPTV main channels sit in a UK group at the top, in channel-number order where it makes sense, so BBC One is 1, BBC Two is 2, ITV1 is 3, Channel 4 is 4 and Channel 5 is 5, the same muscle memory you have from Freeview and Sky. Sport is split by broadcaster and sport type, films have their own group, and the foreign and community channels are further down for the households that want them.

Finding a channel in seconds

  • Favourites: long-press any channel to add it to Favourites and build your own top 20.
  • Number entry: most player apps let you type the channel number on the remote, just like Sky.
  • Search: type part of the name, such as “Main Event”, to jump straight to it.
  • TV guide: open the EPG to see what is on now and next across the main channels.

Catch-up and the TV guide on the main channels

The main UK channels come with a full 7-day electronic programme guide, and many support catch-up, so you can go back to yesterday's soap or last night's match highlights from the guide itself. Catch-up availability varies by channel; look for the clock icon next to the channel name. If you watch on a Firestick or Android box, our best IPTV apps guide shows which players have the best guide.

More than the main channels

Beyond the UK group there are the sports channels for every Premier League, EFL and Scottish Premiership match (see our UK sports channels guide), a library of 248K films and series, and international groups for Ireland, India, Poland and many other countries. IPTV main channels: frequently asked questions

What are the IPTV main channels?

They are the UK channels most people watch every day: BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5, plus Sky Atlantic, Sky Sports Main Event, TNT Sports and the main news and kids' channels. On British IPTV they sit together in the UK group at the top of the channel list.

Do I get my regional BBC and ITV?

Yes. The nations and regions group includes BBC One Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, STV, UTV, S4C and regional BBC One and ITV1 feeds, so you still see your local news.

Are the main channels in HD and 4K?

The main channels are available in HD, and in 4K where the broadcaster produces 4K, which is mostly live sport. Pick the 4K version in the sports group if your TV and broadband support it.

Can the channel list change?

Yes. Broadcasters launch, rename and close channels from time to time, so the line-up can change. We update the channel groups and TV guide when that happens, at no extra cost.
